This award recognises a young individual (35 years or under) who is making a significant impact in North Queensland’s agricultural industry. Whether as a farmer, farm worker, or industry professional, this person demonstrates innovation, leadership, and a commitment to advancing agriculture.
Nominees must demonstrate:
- Excellence in Their Field – A young person excelling in their role, whether through high-quality production, expertise, research contributions, or industry service, with a strong commitment to best practices and sustainability.
- Innovation & Problem-Solving – An emerging leader who embraces new technologies, precision agriculture, sustainable practices, or value-adding initiatives to drive efficiency and progress in the industry.
- Resilience & Adaptability – A young professional who has overcome challenges, adapted to changing conditions, and shown determination in building a successful career in agriculture.
- Industry Engagement & Leadership – Someone who is actively involved in the agricultural community, whether through participation in industry events, research projects, training initiatives, or advocacy for agriculture’s future.
- Commitment to Professional Development – A young leader who is passionate about learning, mentoring others, and continuously improving their skills to contribute to a stronger, more sustainable agricultural sector.
This award celebrates the next generation of agricultural leaders—those who are driving innovation, inspiring others, and shaping the future of North Queensland agriculture.
