The team at BGGA is aware of the significant impact the recent rain has had on growers in our region, causing delays and additional costs for ground preparation and planting. This is in addition to the damage sustained during the February rainfall.
We are planning to provide information regarding these impacts to state government. To assist with this advocacy work, we are asking growers to complete a short survey regarding current and longer term impacts on your business, cost of production and estimated delays to harvest.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this – if you have any additional feedback or questions, please reach out to Jenn or the team. We will keep you updated on how this progresses.
Access the survey here.
And as a reminder, you can also provide feedback through the Government Disaster Impact Survey: https://www.business.qld.gov.au/running-business/natural-disaster/impact-surveys
And submit the Individual Disaster Stricken Property application here: https://www.business.qld.gov.au/industries/farms-fishing-forestry/agriculture/disaster/funding/individual-property
