At the 2025 Growers Gala Dinner we made an important announcement regarding the future for BGGA. Over the past number of years, our reach, scope and impact has increased, serving a wider geographical region and embarking on some significant projects.
At the 2025 AGM we will officially transition from an association to a company limited by guarantee. This new structure will ensure strong governance, transparency and accountability. It means enhanced credibility at a national level, better access to funding and flexibility for growth. Most importantly it means strong continuity and succession.
This change has been a few years in the making and over that time we have broadened our reach geographically. At the 2024 AGM, the BGGA management committee also moved to update the name and brand of the organisation.
North Queensland Farmers Ltd – sprouting from decades of doing what we do best, and ensuring that collectively, we continue to grow.
The new company structure and branding will come into effect at the 2025 AGM. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work behind the scenes to complete the transition and we look forward to celebrating this important step with our growers and corporate partners later in 2025.
