This project is in collaboration with CQU, BFVG and VegNET, and aims to understand factors that may influence the quality of capsicums and chillis. Working closely with our NQ capsicum and chilli growers, we’ll complete a short survey that aims to:
- identify industry priority quality issues
- understand grower perspectives on supply chain issues that may relate to quality issues
- document current practices for managing quality
- document what quality assurance procedures and technology growers are currently using
- define what outcomes growers would like to see from this project.
The surveys are the first part of the project, and the issues identified will help build the next stages of tracking and finding ways improve current practices.
