The Bowen Pipeline Company will commence its water sales program on 20 May 2026 as part of the final stage before lodging its Federal Government construction grant application for the Bowen Pipeline Water Infrastructure Project.
The project aims to be “shovel ready” by September 2026, with the goal of securing 50% Federal funding support for construction. According to the company, demonstrating strong regional demand and participation from water users will be critical to the application process.
If you are considering accessing water from the pipeline we strongly encourage you to attend a session or call Angus MacDonald on 0488 444 973 to organise a one-on-one meeting. You can also email Angus: angus.macdonald@highlanderconsulting.com.au

The water sales program will run from 20 May to 24 June 2026.
Bowen Pipeline Company says the region must demonstrate both significant water demand volumes and strong participation from water users for the project to be considered a viable candidate for Federal funding. The minimum commitment is 20ML, with the option for adjoining or nearby properties to share allocations.
The company states that participants would effectively be securing water at 2025 prices for delivery anticipated in 2030.
The broader project is valued at approximately $750 million, with a target of securing Federal Budget support in May 2027 and commencing construction in September 2027.
